Week 5 of 2010 will be written in the books as a quite important one. On Tuesday 2/2 at noon, we are invited for an open debate at the office of Flemish minister Ingrid Lieten, for a discussion around digital TV and related issues on internet.

A few hours later expected at the hearing in the Belgian parliament and the senate with topic title data retention law. We will be heard with all arguments we can bring up in order to protect the privacy of the internet user. I can count on a large support of my ISOC European colleagues as in almost every country this debate is going on.

Later in the week we will have preparatory meetings for the upcoming 38th ICANN meeting in Brussels (June). And to conclude the list, planning work is needed to organise the WSA Belgium round show as well. Probably in September. And of course the preparation of a round table discussion around end February, on the last political proposition : internet taxes
